Colorado Academy Lacrosse Coaches 2006

Head Coach JC Pritchard:
"Congrats to Coach Pritchard on coach of the year for 2005!"
Coach JC Prichard was nominated the 2005 Coach of the year after a stellar performance by the Mustangs at the State tournament. Coach Pritchard is both the varsity lacrosse coach and varsity soccer coach. He has been a part of the CA community for over 15 years and has produced some of the states top teams and players who have gone on to successful collegiate careers.

Assistant Coach Christopher Spangler:
Defensive Coordinator and Goalie specialist.
Chris Spangler: Syracuse ’95. Coach Spangler is returning for his third year with the Mustangs. He has been coaching in Colorado for the last 10 years and has had successful experiences with both high school and collegiate lacrosse teams in Colorado. Coach Spangler started his coaching career at George Washington high school. After that he was the defensive coordinator for the University of Denver for the first official season as a Division I team. From 1998 to 2000 Coach Spangler was the head coach for the University of Colorado where he enjoyed reaching the USLIA national tournament all three seasons. He has coached 7 collegiate All Americans and 14 All State high school players and he was a coach for the Colorado Champ Camp Juniors selection team which took second at the Johns Hopkins Tournament in 2000. He is Colorado native and a graduate of East High School where he played for coach Jon Barocus.

Assistant Coach David Colodny:
Defensive Coordinator and Midfield specialist.
Coach David Colodny grew up in Southern California and began playing lacrosse at Fountain Valley School in Colorado Springs. He played college lacrosse at the University of Arizona and Lewis & Clark College in Oregon. Coach Colodny teaches Spanish at CA and has coached in New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and last year at Arapahoe High School here in Colorado. This is his eighth year coaching and his second year with the Mustangs.

Assistant Coach Liston Hills:
Midfield Coach and Face-off specialist.
Liston Hills is a middle school teacher and varsity soccer assistant at CA, and will be rejoining the varsity lacrosse program after a two year hiatus spent building continuity between the middle and upper school programs. Liston graduated from Colorado Academy in 1995 and went on to play midfield for Connecticut College(Connecticut College '99). He will join David Colodny as a midfield coach and face-off specialist. This will be Liston’s fifth year coaching at the varisty level and eighth year overall.
